Police Department:
Several areas make up the Police Department. The areas focus on patrol, investigation, and records. Officers in the department have ranks led by the Chief of Police. The Polic Department participates in several programs including D.A.R.E. and Crime Stoppers.

Fire Department:
The Fire Department not only responds to structure fires and other emergencies, but also provides educational programs for fire prevention and training. Such training includes fire extinguishing and proper procedures for evacuation of structure fires. Currently, there are two stations, one at 125 W. Broadway St. and one at 221 S. Greenville St.
